A good 6 months into the worst pandemics of the 21st century so far seems like a good time to remark what we have achieved so far and what challenges still lay ahead – from the perspective of digital eyecare and vision training.
If anything, the lockdown that was imposed in the majority of countries in March and April this year, has really shown us how important digital eyecare solutions such as AmblyoPlay have become in modern life. As the access to eyecare professionals has been (and still is) somewhat limited digital tools that enable us some basic screening or genuine vision training from the safety of our home have become more important than ever.
Vision training: The Future is Here
Arguably, digital eyecare solutions are the future, and it is up to us to make them as useful, user-friendly, and as effective as possible and up to you to use them the way they are intended to be used. During these challenging times, the AmblyoPlay team have not rested on their laurels and released much improved version of our beloved product AmblyoPlay in literally every aspect.
That said we are working around the clock to continue improving our products. With the closer collaboration between the developers, eyecare professionals and nonetheless the governing bodies and agencies there certainly is a bright future ahead for digital eyecare solutions and their integration into everyday clinical practice.
It is up to us all, though, that that we try to squeeze as much good as possible from the bad stuff in the likes of COVID-19 pandemics that has been shaping our lives for the last 6 months, and will likely to continue doing so for months to come.
