AmblyoPlay® is a vision therapy solution for children with lazy eye, mild strabismus or convergence insufficiency, which is performed through playing therapeutic games and exercises every day for 30 minutes. It is perfect for a patient’s vision therapy ‘homework’ that they do at home!
As an optometrist with a background in pediatrics and vision therapy, I can honestly say that this product has been an excellent option for my son who deals with intermittent esotropia during the covid19 pandemic. It is an excellent adjunct to in-office therapy for anyone looking for some additional therapy for their kids at home.
So is AmblyoPlay a good program for fixing strabismus? AmblyoPlay is an amazing computer-based tool for vision therapy. The red/blue activities cancel perfectly with the glasses provided, making an amazing tool to break suppression and improve symptoms associated with strabismus and amblyopia. AmblyoPlay isn’t the only tool that you will need to fix strabismus, but it is one thing that will make a big difference! Maybe you’ve never heard of Amblyoplay, I will walk you through what it is and how it can help.
I am the mother of a 4 year old daughter who was diagnosed with amblyopia. We have been using the Amblyoplay for 3 months now and have seen a tremendous change. We were not supposed to have another eye exam for 6 months but because of the progress, I am having another exam now. The best thing is that she enjoys using Amblyoplay!
As we strive to provide you with the best possible vision therapy experience, our team is implementing constant improvements and changes. Most of these changes can be implemented without interrupting the use of AmblyoPlay, but our next update will require a bit more work and maintenance.
For this reason, we would like to notify everyone that AmblyoPlay servers will be down on Wednesday, July 27th between: 7am to 11am GMT // 3am to 7am EDT // midnight to 4am PDT // 5pm to 9pm AEST
You can see the times also HERE!
Since the update to our backend is a big one, there can be some unexpected issues we will have to resolve during the deploy, so we reserve the right to potentially expand the planned maintenance.Should you experience any problems, do not hesitate to contact us at [email protected]!
