We were very happy with AmblyoPlay, because as it has proven to be a great motivator for Nika (11). She was struggling with eye patching for 4 hours ever day. We replaced it with 30-minute AmblyoPlay exercise and the doctor observed great improvements! Amazing, no more everyday battles to start patching, she actually WANTS to do it!
I am grateful to have joined this program as ever since the optometrists have shut down due to quarantine my child was able to continue progressive exercises with Amblyoplay which otherwise he couldn't. Thank you for your support and we would like to continue with our subscription as we have noticed an improvement in his lazy eye.
I usually get accommodations for standard tests, however, for my upcoming standard test I did not have recent documentation to apply from my eye doctor. Instead, I subscribed to Amblyoplay and it has worked! I don't need extra time to concentrate because my eyes are improving really well!. The easiness to use AmblyoPlay has been a dream come true.
Great tool - My son has gotten a lot of benefits. Would have been great to have more help onboarding. It was several weeks before we had him fully optimized with the program.
I most definitely see a difference in her eyes and their ability and consistency with tracking together. It has been a huge blessing to be able to use this tool while most things have been closed around the country. Sage can do AmblyoPlay anytime - from anywhere. She never has to miss a day. And she enjoys it... which means I don't have to push her hard for consistency. 🙂
I am the mother of a 4 year old daughter who was diagnosed with amblyopia. We have been using the Amblyoplay for 3 months now and have seen a tremendous change. We were not supposed to have another eye exam for 6 months but because of the progress, I am having another exam now. The best thing is that she enjoys using Amblyoplay!
First, let me tell you that my daughter had her eye evaluation yesterday and the therapy has worked. She is LEAPS and BOUNDS better than she was 9 months ago. She has only been doing it for 3 months and the amount of change is staggering. YAY!!!
Our son has been having lots of fun while improving his capacity to see more accurately. Ever since he was first diagnosed, working with him was always very hard. He would get tired and would not find any motivation to stop whatever it was he was doing to get to his eye exercises. He used to hate his eye training time. Now, he asks for it! In the beginning, some of the activities seemed impossible for him to accomplish. However, he would not give up, because he found the design and structure of each 'game', as he calls them, very interesting and challenging. He would say they were very amusing. As he has progressed, he has been having greater success, which helps his self-esteem as well as his visual system. We are very happy and satisfied. Thanks for helping our family to live better!!
Software was crashing on us at the start so we almost gave up. Thankfully we got to someone from the team over email and they were able to make it work after a week or two with an update. They got us a month for free because of the problem so we are so far quite satisfied with how everything is going. We’re not really following with daily exercises because we just want to improve son’s reading ability (he has hard time reading because he has some problems with convergence).
After 6 months we’re still not where we wanted. Maybe we were a bit too optimistic when first starting out but everyone told us it will be a lengthy process. We still have long way to go to completely recover but we’re getting there slowly. Don’t expect over night results or you can be disappointed!
I really like how convenient and easy to use AmblyoPlay is. It's so nice to be able to do vision therapy while in my own home listening to my favorite podcast. I've been using it for almost 3 months now and I have noticed the therapy feeling easier to do. It took a little while but it's definitely noticeable now.
My son has been having eye deviations that's why we sought intervention at Vision Therapy Philippines. And one of their protocol treatment is using Amblyoplay with eyeglasses. After 3 months of using there has been an improvement in his eyesight and now at 20-20 vision. Thank you Amblyoplay.
I’m using amblyoplay myself. The software isn’t really that interesting for me as an adult but I know why I have to do the exercises. I guess it’s more fun for the kids. After being told for years that nothing can be done about my eye being lazy, I think I’m seeing some results. The start has been super hard as my eyes were tearing up and I had some headaches after every day training but now that I’ve gotten through the initial phase – it became my every day activity before I go to bed.
Amblyoplay has been a blessing to us and to our 7 year old granddaughter. She has been using the program for many months and every time we go for a vision checkup the doctor says there is "noticeable improvement"...and that is what matters to us. Nora loves the program and she really loves the new updates to the program. She came running into my room last night with her Amblyoplay glasses on holding the IPAD excited to show me what was new and what she had done. For anyone who has a child with this kind of vision issues, I can tell you from personal experience that the program is well worth the money. Your child will thoroughly enjoy the program without even noticing what great therapy they are receiving. Just a wonderful idea and a well-implemented program. We cannot thank you enough.
We’re patching some over a year now his right eye and it was getting better and better. Then all of a sudden, we started noticing that his other eye which was previously OK. We went for a second opinion but nothing has changed, just that we should now be patching both eyes for part of the day. This didn’t sit well with me or my wife so I started doing some research. I was considering some VR solution, but was a bit much $$$. Found about Amblyoplay, decided to take the risk and whoa did it pay off!! Binocular VT all the way – now we’re working both his eyes at the same time and we can observe his improvement with our own eyes. Thanks!!
I was quite suspicious of “vision therapy on the computer” so when I first found out about it on the internet, I dismissed it quickly, but then I saw a couple of positive reviews in some FB group where parents were sharing their experience. I’ve talked with our doctor if this could be something that could help my child and at that point, he just said that there really isn’t much to lose. Now I’m not sure who’s more enthusiastic about it after seeing the results!
We discovered my son needed glasses just before he turned 5 years old. His first prescriptions was +5.50 OD and +6.00 OS along with amblyopia in the left eye. It was recommended at that time that we start vision therapy by patching. He was instructed to patch daily for a least an hour and we needed to follow up visit with the optometrist every 6 months. After the first visit, there was no improvement and the doctor recommended moving his prescription to +6.50 OD and +7.00 OS along with continuing the vision therapy. After one year, at almost aged 7, there was still a limited improvement of the amblyopia and again the doctor recommended a prescription increase to +7.50 and +8.00. At this time we requested to be referred to an ophthalmologist, who prescribed vision therapy in the form of daily atropine drops which were also used with different prescription glasses with a plano lens in the right eye for near-complete occlusion. This therapy continued for nearly 18 months. Just before he turned 9, his ophthalmologist advised that our window of improvement was narrowing if not completely closed, still with limited improvement. Vision in the left eye at this check-up was 20/60. It was at think point I began to research other options for therapy and found Amblyoplay. I order the unit and started with a 6-month subscription. After three months of use (admittedly not consistent with hectic schedules) he was due for a follow-up and the optometrist was impressed that his amblyopia had improved slightly, encouraged, we increased his therapy time and saw the doctor again a month later for a full exam and his left eye was assessed at 20/40! A is about to turn 10 and we are encouraged and hopeful that regular and continued use over the next few months will fully correct his amblyopia. Thank you. A very grateful mom!
So is AmblyoPlay a good program for fixing strabismus? AmblyoPlay is an amazing computer-based tool for vision therapy. The red/blue activities cancel perfectly with the glasses provided, making an amazing tool to break suppression and improve symptoms associated with strabismus and amblyopia. AmblyoPlay isn’t the only tool that you will need to fix strabismus, but it is one thing that will make a big difference! Maybe you’ve never heard of Amblyoplay, I will walk you through what it is and how it can help.
Of late, we went for a check-up to our eyecare specialist. My son's vision has improved from previous 10%-20% to incredible 70%. Your application definitely aids in the improvement and the specialists were really thrilled with your innovative approach. They will recommend it to the other patients too!
Me and my wife (parents of 4) have quite hard time organizing the kids, their activities and our work so doing 3 visits with the doctor per week (1+ hour of drive away!!!) was simply undoable! We were looking if there’s anything we can find that we could do at home. We bought several tools and Amblyoplay was among them. My opinion? I wasn’t impressed when I first ran the software and when we got the glasses (nothing special at first), but guess what? It’s the thing that my son wants to use and for that reason – we’re working with it and his doc was really taken aback when we came for a checkup – going from 200/20 to 60/20 in a space of 2 months.
I don't know if this will be useful to you, but I just wanted to let you know that my 9,5 year old was just at an eye exam after using AmblyoPlay every day and her visual acuity improved on both eyes for more than 50%! Absolutely amazing! Thanks!
My son had a hard time in school last year and his grades were just not what we expected. He’s a bright kid who can tell you all about dinosaurs and space but he always struggled with reading and writing. Over the summer I took him to an optometrist who found some problems and said that we have to ‘train his eyes’. Didn’t know what to think but I was googling for a solution. Found this, ordered and hoped for the best. Now, he’s turning into quite a bookworm so something must have worked because he loves reading!
My son Jude, was diagnosed with Amblyopia when he was 4. He did 4 years of patching until we were told that he could stop as the benefits going forward are almost nonexistent past the age of 8. As a family, we wanted to do more but needed an affordable option. That’s how I came across Amblyoplay. He has now been using Amblyoplay for almost 6 months and had an eye appointment recently. For a couple of years, there had not been much change in his prescription, but after this appointment, we had to buy him a new pair of glasses as there was an improvement. We couldn’t be happier and went ahead and extended his subscription by a year. He was also super excited about the new version and says it’s great. Keep up the good work!
We are excited about our daughter’s results from Amblyoplay. Her reading speed has increased and even her tennis game has improved. Amblyoplay’s customer service was always helpful when we had questions. The therapy was so successful we are considering a Summer Refresher session to extend her progress.
Our daughter had a slight strabismus that’s hardly observable and it does not affect her vision at all. Even her eye doctor said that he doesn’t see any need for a procedure or therapy if it won’t get worse. She just started school and right away – kids started picking on here, teasing her about her skewed eye. We talked with teachers and parents but it’s not really helping. We’re playing your games now and the results are starting to show even after just two weeks. They still pick on her but I trust that after the problem is gone – they will forget about it.
We started using amblyoplay 2 months ago with our 7-year old. It was recommended by a friend who saw an ad on Facebook so we were a bit hesitant at first – but what a pleasant surprise it was! We have previously tried different apps and programs to work on our sons lazy eye, but there was never so much progress as with amblyoplay. There were a couple of issues with the software (a bit confusing set-up, some occasional crashes…) but the support by people at amblyoplay has been great so far! At the current pace we should be done in 1-2 months, fingers crossed!
More games, more games, more games! What you have is great but our daughter (10) got bored after 2 months. She plays Candy Crush and games like that and it’s quite hard to keep her attention for long. At the end, we had to convince her to keep playing (which she did but we had to put in quite some effort) but I think if you had more games, we wouldn’t have this problem.
Amblyoplay has been amazing for my daughter. She had 20/200 in the left eye, and I purchased a 3-month subscription. We tried to do this every day, but we did it most days. Yesterday at the checkup her eye had improved to 20/70 in the space of a few months. It's been a lifesaver. I plan to continue using this as its a lifesaver changing app. I have recommended to friends and family who have amblyopia. Staff are also helpful and respond to any questions immediately.
Amblyoplay is a fun and engaging way to do visual therapy in the comfort of your own home. Installation was quite easy and any questions were quickly resolved via email. My son is severely myopic in one eye. In combination with in-office Visual Therapy, I feel he has made great progress this past year. We are unable to attend in-office sessions due to Covid-19, therefore, I feel so much better that we have Amblyoplay at home during these difficult times! It was even encouraged by our doctor to continue this program while we are home.
I am a 22-year-old AmblyoPlay user and I would highly recommend it to anyone who has Amblyopia or a ‘lazy eye’ as it is commonly known as. The app uses games where each eye has to work together to complete, forcing the brain to use both eyes at the same time. Even as an adult, I can see a small but definite improvement in my binocular vision and lazy eye visual acuity. I wish to thank the AmblyoPlay team for their work and can only imagine the effect this app has on children who respond much better to Amblyopia treatment than adults.
I started vision therapy after 30 days of vestibular therapy from toxic mold poisoning from a leaky pipe in our condo's laundry room. I lost my ability to see clearly and converge. I had 18 percent use of convergence in my left eye and I was so nauseated and could not drive. After 12 sessions my ability to converge was raised to 80 percent. The key to keeping your ability to converge as an adult is what you do at home on a daily basis. Vision therapy sessions run up to $200 a session. AmblyoPlay was my answer! I can work convergence or I can work just my left eye. It's nice to have a preprogrammed format I can follow, and this helps me on days when I don't want to work the Brock string. Vision therapy absolutely works for adults and I'm happy to have an at-home app that allows me to reduce my visits with my therapist which saves me thousands.
Overall, we were quite satisfied with how the program worked. We used it for 3 months and we used it in combination with 2 hours of patching. The progress was great but we weren’t as strict following the daily repetition as maybe we should be – we skipped quite a few days and we quickly forgot that we have it on our tablet. Maybe a recommendation – remind us, parents! We have so much to think about that we sometimes forget about this!
My son's eye therapist has seen great improvement in my son's left eye. We were hitting a plateau with the at-home vision activities and were going to have to start more intense & expensive in-office vision therapy activities. The therapist saw a great improvement in his vision & recommended to continue with amblyoplay instead of the more exp3 alternatives. For now, we're happy & will continue using.
Wow! As a parent with a little one (age 5) who had VT sessions since she was 3, I was blown away with Amblyoplay! It’s the first time my daughter really enjoyed doing her eye exercises and not only that – she was often times the one who encouraged us to ‘play the games so that she’ll get a new piece of the puzzle’! The progress maybe wasn’t as fast but it’s very constant and I think it’s mainly due to the fact we’re really working on it every day. I would totally recommend Amblyoplay to any parent struggling with convincing your kiddos to do their ‘training’!
I found out about Amblyoplay in a facebook group about esotropia. Our problem was very serious (600/20) and I talked with them over their webpage chat. They admitted they didn’t have such a severe case before so they didn’t know if they can help. They offered us a full refund if we decide to try it out and were not satisfied. The results so far are incredible. We’re down to 100/20 after less than 2 months and we’re all super excited to see how it’s gonna improve even further!
Our experience with Amblyoplay was great. My daughter was first diagnosed with a lazy eye on her right eye when she was 8. The doctors we went to told us it too late to treat and that we had to patch her eyes and hope for the best. She did not like patching at all. I did a lot of research and that’s when I found Amblyoplay, so we decided to try it. We live in a country where there are no eye therapy options and also the country is in a war zone. Being in a war zone with electricity and internet cuts we were not able to use the games every day, in a good week we would do 3 or 4 days a week and sometimes only once a week. also, while the games were very exciting our daughter only wanted to play 4 games only. In just 3 months the visual acuity in her lazy eye improved from .3 to .6. and we had to change her glasses. We will continue using it and I recommend it to everyone who was told that it is too late to treat the lazy eye.
Our daughter was diagnosed with Amblyopia in her right eye at the age of four. Even with corrective lenses, she was seeing 20/80. After two years of patching, atropine drops, and prescription changes, she achieved 20/50 and on good days 20/40 in her right eye. 6 months ago, her doctor told me that we were getting close to 7, and we’d need to stop patching in order to keep the good eye from regressing. I was not okay with settling with this result, even though her binocular vision was acceptable. I wanted that right eye to catch up. I started calling around to vision therapy facilities, and I was dumbfounded by the price tag for 30 minute weekly sessions. I watched videos of therapy sessions and even went to tour a facility to see if I could replicate the exercises at home. I went on google to search amblyopia therapy tools and somehow fell across Amblyoplay. We did a three-month subscription, and then went to her June 2020 appointment: 20/25 vision in her amblyopic eye!!! Her doctor was floored! She has now achieved 20/20 binocular vision and 20/25 monocular if both eyes. My doctor said whatever we are doing with Amblyoplay, DO NOT STOP for quite a while, so that we do not see regression. He had me write down the website, and he was on his phone googling before I even left the room. This has truly been a saving grace for us. Thank you to everyone at Amblyoplay! Your top-notch customer service, awesome gaming platform, and excellent pricing has helped us achieve a priceless asset for our daughter.
My 8-year old daughter loves AmblyoPlay games. They are not only educational (geometric shapes), but also interesting and entertaining. Large assortment of games keeps things interesting, which is crucial to keep my daughter motivated for training and exercising!
I’ll just tell you this: my husband was telling me this was a scam and that I shouldn’t be looking at it – but I bought it anyways. The other day he took our son for a checkup and his VTOD said that we were really doing great with our VT homework. Guess what? He’ll never hear an end to it! ?
I am Nora's grandfather. She and her mother live with us....and I can tell you that Nora's doctor was overjoyed at the improvement with reference to her focusing and tracking skills. The activities and games have made a major improvement and I cannot thank you enough for this product. Her doctor absolutely encouraged us to continue the program and was curious as to how she might gain digital access to Nora's progress. Nora loves the program and gets so excited when she has achieved a certain score she wants to achieve....and she is totally unaware of how much she improving her focusing and tracking skills! This product is terrific. Allow me to share this experience with you: I lived in Geneva. Switzerland when I was 19 years old (some 49 years ago!) I have worn glasses since I was 6 years old and while living in Geneva I began to have trouble with my vision...headaches, difficulty while reading, etc. I was attending various language schools and reading was a major component. The doctor I saw there diagnosed me with essentially the same issue as Nora...but his solution to help my eyes focus at the same time was to give me what was basically tongue depressor with a small picture of Mickey Mouse painted near the tip. I was to sit in a chair and for thirty minutes a day hold the thing at arm's length and pull it toward my face slowly and try to train my eyes to focus in unison!!! So, I would say some significant advances have been made since then!!!! Thanks again for your research, your help and your product. I wish you continued success. Sincerely From A Grateful Grandpa,
My son is 6 years old and has a "lazy eye" that required 2 years of patching and glasses. This treatment helped but very little. I decided to try this method and after almost 3 months I can barely notice his eye being "lazy". It was definitely hard to get him to want to play these games at first. Wearing his glasses and the colored pair on top was very uncomfortable in the first few weeks. He eventually got used to it. Also, it was challenging for him to play some of the games because he doesn't play video games at all. But we pushed through all that and didn't give up. I ended up having to bribe him, which worked! In the end, we are happy we did this. I have yet to do a follow up with his doctor to confirm how much he has improved, but we can definitely see the difference just by looking at his eye.
As an optometrist with a background in pediatrics and vision therapy, I can honestly say that this product has been an excellent option for my son who deals with intermittent esotropia during the covid19 pandemic. It is an excellent adjunct to in-office therapy for anyone looking for some additional therapy for their kids at home.
Great product, easy to use. My daughter was able to use it by herself. Easy to keep small children engaged, our 11-year-old daughter was entertained while using it, it takes 30 min a day to exercise her eye.
It was a long wait to get Amblyoplay (about 10 days) as the box got lost somewhere so we had to hunt it all over Canada! Anyway, box arrived and we’re using it now – much to our surprise – the glasses we were waiting are not even being used for now as we are using an eye patch. They said that they will come into play later on as her eyes improve. So far she’s been using it quite consistently without any big difficulties.
I decided to give Amblyoplay a try as an adult. Unfortunately as all of the opticians where I live are closed due to COVID lockdown, I haven’t been able to compare any changes to my eyesight. What I would say is that I feel more aware of sight in my right eye. As time goes on I feel that the suppression of my eye is slowly being reduced and while I may not have perfect vision, day to day activities have gotten a little easier with the addition of a more active eye. It has only been 3 months and I’m excited to see further results.
I'm a parent of an 8 year old boy that had been diagnosed with Nystagmus which is basically a misconnect between the brain and eyes. He sees steps and patterned floor tile as beveled or uneven and when focusing on a ball coming at him or even reading, his eyes rapidly move. After looking into vision therapy options, I've chosen Ambyloplay to try. We had reached out to them prior to joining and had been told that there wasn't any kind of testing related to my son's diagnosis and that Ambyloplay may not even work for us. It's been a year now that we have routinely utilized the Ambyloplay program and I have seen a HUGE difference in my son's (depth perception) ability to go up and down steps. Which has been Amazing for both Him and I 🙂 So thank you Ambyloplay, I truly believe that you have helped and will continue to help.
I highly recommend AmblyoPlay to anyone looking to improve their lazy eye. Admittingly, I was skeptical at first, but I am sure glad I went through with it. All my life I have suffered from amblyopia and have went through 3 surgeries but still, it was not fully fixed. After trying AmblyoPlay I have seen a huge difference in not only my lazy eye but both eyes working together. The games are fun and there are plenty of games to play. I never thought I would get to where I am today with my eyes. AmblyoPlay is the real deal.
We've been using AmbloPlay for the last 6 months on a daily basis trying to improve our 4 years old daughter intermittent exotropia on both eyes. We can see a significant improvement and even a doctor said it must work even though he is skeptical about vision therapy. so we gonna keep up on using this great tool. Thank you to all who have invented this therapy!
After we got diagnosed with lazy eye we were recommended patching the good eye for 4 hours per day. We tried, we failed – she was hitting objects, had problems moving around and didn’t like the patch at all. I started looking into alternatives and found out that patching isn’t the best. I was reading about binocular exercises before I stumbled across amblyoplay. It seemed interesting and was quite cheap compared with alternatives. So far so good, she enjoys doing it and we’re on track to finishing in next 2 months!
Amblyoplay for almost 3 months now. I'm currently doing my therapy but due to the pandemic, I stopped going to the clinic. Amblyoplay was recommended to me by my Doctor to be used for an hour a day, and good thing i can still use it at home while on quarantine. I think the games helped a lot in my focus and patience. It's just like doing the therapy while on game mode! I hope i can still use it to further my development. Thanks Amblyoplay! 🙂
At the age of 6, my daughter's eyes started wandering visibly. The strabismic angle did not justify surgery so we resorted to vision therapy. We were patching, wearing glasses and doing exercises - and there were no results. After only 1 month of using AmblyoPlay, we are already seeing great improvement and we are continuing to use it daily!
We got surgery back in May and we were told we should exercise the eye at home to strengthen the muscle. Wasn’t really given much of a guidance besides that so we were trying different things. At checkups no one said anything would be wrong so I guess it worked – his strabismus didn’t return!
My son has been using Amblyoplay to help with a convergence issue now for approx 3 months. The program is easy to use & he is enjoying the games. We are nearly due for a check up with his optometrist & I’m looking forward to seeing an improvement. The only suggestion would be for a wider variety of games as he is getting very used to the ones available.
My daughter can’t stand the eye patch and we’ve tried different brands – her skin just gets irritated so quickly. I’ve even tried applying some cream and while it did get better it was just a struggle for me as a mother to watch my daughter suffer through it. I ordered amblyoplay to avoid patching so when the software recommended monocular therapy with an eye patch, I was on their support right away demanding a refund. They suggested using a ‘pirate patch’ for just a month or so before trying on binocular therapy without a patch. After going through this I must say I honestly got some of the best advice on this journey from their team: they seemed to understand the problem and us! We’re finished now and we’re done with vision therapy for good but oh boy would I recommend this to everyone going through the same problem as we did!
Besides glasses not fitting our 3-year old the best, we’re very satisfied. We’re doing the exercises on an iPad which is much easier for a young kid than a computer. We had to block some games that were a bit too difficult for him but with the rest – we’re very happy. Oh, and we got custom made smaller glasses by them sent over mail! Such a nice touch!
Our son has been using the Amblyoplay program with wonderful results. It is a nice and reasonably affordable at-home system. This program is a perfect fit for our busy schedules, which is nice instead of having to commit to making weekly office visits. Our teenage son enjoys using the program and has had no problems with the technological aspect of the program; it works great. Along with our son's two previous eye surgeries, we have noticed a wonderful improvement with the alignment of his eyes. He has noticed a greater ability to perceive 3-D and is continuing to see improvements. He finds the therapy, when factored into his daily routine and made up of fun exercises and games, very relaxing. This is a non-stressful program where you can go at your own pace and receive instant feedback. We highly recommend this program as our son and we are seeing great improvement in his visual results.
Our doctor recommended using Amblyoplay after one of her other patients used it and saw great progress. We’re doing twice a week 45min sessions of in-office VT and then 30 minutes of Amblyoplay every day that we’re not at doctor’s office. Amazing!! We hardly skip any day and the pace of improvement has been surprising us all!!
It is always nice to receive feedback from parents, but this one is special. Leo uploaded this video in which he reviews AmblyoPlay. Watch the video and get first hand information about AmblyoPlay.
